Abstract: Aiming at microwave composite dielectric laminates with low dielectric constant and loss tangent, PTFE based composite laminates filled with hollow sphere ceramic powders were fabricated by calendaring method. The effects of hollows pheres ceramic powders on the microstructure and properties were investigated. The results show that with increasing content, the hollow structures of ceramic powders collapse, and the relative density of PTFE based composite laminates decreases, while the dielectric constant and loss tangent firstly decrease and then increase. Meanwhile, the water adsorption increases and peel strength decreases. PTFE based composite laminate with filler content of 31.3% exhibits the relative density of 1.302g/cm3, dielectric constant and loss tangent of 1.9659 and 6.06×10-4, respectively. The water adsorption is 0.2% and peel strength is 2.725N/mm.
